Ornate, silver-plated singing bowl, with engraved images of Buddha Shakyamuni and the five Dhyani Buddhas. The bowl is decorated with auspicious symbols such as the double dorje, the lotus and the endless knot, as well as the mantra of compassion "Om Mani Pad Me Hum". The silver plating is applied through a careful electrochemical process, enveloping each bowl in a lustrous layer of pure silver that enriches its tone and vibration.
Art and Craft
Each hand-hammered singing bowl is carefully selected for its richness of sound, so that it not only looks beautiful, but also has the depth and resonance you would expect from a singing bowl of this quality. Only then is the bowl engraved and silver-plated.
The engraving of the traditional symbols and ornaments is done using precision laser technology, allowing them to be embellished with intricate designs without compromising their exceptional acoustic properties.
The silver plating process is carried out using electroplating. This involves the use of controlled electrolysis, where the desired metal coating is transferred from an anode (the part containing the metal used as a coating) to a cathode (the part to be coated, in this case the bowl). This ensures even coverage.
Advantages of silver plating
Silver, with its high density and excellent acoustic properties, enhances the natural purity of a singing bowl's sound, creating a clear and uplifting sound.
The reflective surface of the bowl not only increases its aesthetic appeal, but can also amplify the energy it radiates, making it a powerful tool for meditation and sound healing.
Maintenance and storage
To preserve the beautiful finish and powerful sound of your silver-plated singing bowl, we recommend using only a soft stringing wood and a felt beater. For extra care, cotton gloves may be helpful for intermediate handling of the bowl. Carefully wipe the bowl with a soft cotton cloth after each use to remove fingerprints and maintain the shine. Store the bowl on a stable rubber ring or cushion to protect its shape and finish.
Each silver-plated singing bowl comes with a cotton pouch for protection and storage, and three pairs of cotton gloves (sizes M, L, and XL).
To clean, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners to preserve the silver plating. However, a silver cloth may help.
