Carnelian was used to calm anger, rage, jealousy and envy. It also serves to alleviate or even eliminate depression. In the Middle Ages it was widely used as an amulet to protect against spells and enchantments.

Carrier of good health, prevents skin diseases. It opens and strengthens the heart and spleen "chakras".

Color: from yellow to orange red. (Color of flesh, this being the origin of its name, Carneola.)
