Mademoiselle Lenormand's traditional form of divination has grown into a work of art that inspires, connects to the spiritual world and teaches about the present, past and future.
36 full size cards and a little book in Portuguese to learn how to play.
Madame Lenormand left in many souls a very high reputation, and such a vivid remembrance of her rare talent, that we think we are doing a service to the admirers of her system, by publishing the playing cards which were found with her after her death. This is the same deck through which she prophesied greatness to Emperor Napoleon and the downfall of many nobles at her court. Already in her life her talents were recognized by thousands of gentlemen who often confessed that her method was true and exact.
What makes this publication even more interesting is that the explanation of the letters is entirely in accordance with that of Madame Lenormand, in such a way that each one, without help or course, can know through them the mysteries of the future.
Brief history of Madame Lenormand
Marie Anne Adelaide LeNormand or Madame LeNormand, was born in Alençon, Normandy, in 1772 and died in 1843. She spent her childhood in a convent after losing her parents. After leaving the convent, she established residence in Paris during the French Revolution, becoming a famous fortune teller, exercising, in addition to other arts, palmistry, cafeomancy, among others.
There are few accounts of her life, but she was and remains to this day one of the most famous fortune tellers, having as clients Napoleon and his wife Josephine as well as the high Parisian aristocracy.
