The author Antonio Carlos Rocha is born in Recife, Pernambuco. He has a Master's degree in Science of Literature from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Science of Literature from the same university. He belongs to 17 Literary Academies, in several cities in Brazil, as a Corresponding Member. He was deputy to the vice-president of the Writers' Union of Rio de Janeiro, under the management of Academic Antônio Houaiss. He has been a speaker and lecturer, participating in classes, debates and seminars in the area of Comparative Religions and Eastern Philosophy, including on radio stations, in colleges and schools, for over thirty years. He was an international correspondent (itinerant) for the newspaper Voz do Povo, in Lisbon, between 1979 and 1980, working in England, France, Spain and Brazil. He was a correspondent for the French magazine L'Impatient, in Paris, in 1980. And he was also a correspondent in Rio de Janeiro for the Portuguese magazine A Razão, in Lisbon, between 1990 and 1995. In the area of Zen and Buddhism, he has published ten books on on the subject, dozens of articles and held several conferences, seminars and courses. In the area of Literature, he wrote and published various articles in the press in general, mainly collaborating with the newspaper O Globo, in the period between 1983 and 1986. In addition, he has various texts in newspapers and magazines in Portugal. Cataloging, there are more than 600 works of this nature by him.
