Code of Umbanda is a book that uses clear and open language to “comment” on the guidelines that guide the science, doctrine and religious practice of Umbanda. Here there is an accurate analysis of the elements that involve the Sacred Umbanda Ritual, both in terms of ritual practices and the existence and dissemination of an Umbanda religious consciousness, promoting clarification not only to the faithful but also to public opinion in general regarding the fundamentals and the objectives of the Ritual as a religious option that is available to incarnate and disembodied people.
The Code is divided into four parts: part one is concerned with the formation of a “religious consciousness of Umbanda” to face religious disagreements as well as the media's disregard for religion.
The second part talks about magic and seeks to demystify the widespread idea that Umbanda magic is practiced by anyone. The last two are focused on exposing the scientific bases on which the manifestations of the orixás are based within the Sacred Umbanda Ritual. Bringing together a set of knowledge, concepts and precepts that must be observed so that religious practice remains within the standards that allow the Umbanda religion to fulfill what it idealizes: the acceleration of the evolutionary process of incarnated and disembodied spirits, Code of Umbanda, through the masters of Light, takes an important step in establishing the Sacred Umbanda Ritual as a genuinely Brazilian religion that preaches simplicity, humility, charity and fraternity
