The awakening of consciousness – pure, original, simple and complex in every human being is the task of transforming an era of violence into an era of healthy, wise (intelligent) and tender (compassionate) peaceful sharing.
Heródoto Barbeiro knows how to do this, as a Zen Buddhist practitioner, ordained many years ago by the first Superior General of the Soto Shu Order for South America.
He, the author, lives in the world as a journalist, connected to events and capable of the Buddha's view of reality.
You too can live an enlightened life.
Get inspired and practice Buddha's Dharma.

The encounter with Buddhism can be devastating for some Westerners, in the sense of deconstructing everything a person has learned so far and uncovering a new reality. The impact leaves no stone unturned from old conceptions. Just see that in the logic of Buddhism all phenomena are created by our mind, whether material or psychological, there is no supernatural or divine help for our daily hardships. There are no saints, gods or metaphysics. To be a Buddhist, you don't have to abandon your life, shave your head, wear a yellow robe and go around reciting sutras. You just need to realize that things are temporary and that everything you can get in life can also be lost. Buddha came to the world for the last time with the mission to become enlightened and become an example to be followed. For Buddhist practice it is necessary to kill the impure mind through meditation. We can choose: either the impure mind or enlightenment. Through meditation, it is possible to look around us without the intervention of the mind, that is, to become aware of what is happening around us without judging, without condemning, without saying yes or no to everything. Buddha - Myth and Reality intends to be just a promotional text written by an adherent of the doctrine, but it manages to be much more than that.
